Terry Hird has been teaching negotiation for over twenty years. After 30 years in the international import/export trading business he made the switch to an academic and corporate training career. He has described it as the most fulfilling professional experience in his life.

Both students and corporate workshop attendees talk about the difference he has made in their academic and professional lives. In 2004 UC Berkeley Extension named Terry their Honored Instructor for his negotiation classes.

Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Terry teaches is an Adjunct Faculty at Dominican University in San Rafael. Terry’s corporate training and coaching spans venues in the United States and overseas. He advises companies on taking their businesses global and serves as an advisor for one of the largest international trading companies in the United States.


My negotiation programs were created to provide individuals and organizations with the tools they need to obtain enhanced outcomes through the art of negotiation. Whether in the United States or overseas, if it is a multi-million dollar deal or everyday interaction with clients or peers, my goal is always the same: to make a positive difference in your business career and to help you get what you want in your next negotiation.
